The conceptual vision behind Lucidity can best be described as “Silent Hill meets Maniac Mansion.” It is a survival horror adventure game with a large focus on the interpersonal relationships between multiple protagonists. One of the key beliefs driving the game’s structure is that divergent narrative should have an exclusive quality. That is to say, that if a game claims to have multiple paths/choices, then those paths should be distinctive enough as to provide an experience that is unique to those choices – distinctive enough to create re-playability, since it is by its nature impossible to see everything the game has to offer in one playthrough.

This is a longterm project, which will be developed in parallel with a number of smaller games, designed to grow the Die Happy Games team and brand.
