Die Happy Games™ | DHAC1 Referee's Screen and Mini-Module Supplement by Die Happy Games™

In 1981 and 1983 the publisher of the world's most popular post-apocalyptic roleplaying game (set in a world of gamma radiation) released referee’s screens for game masters that included a mini-module (adventure).

At the time, boxed text for adventure modules was uncommon, and game masters were expected to do a lot of preparation before running an adventure. This document provides some boxed text for use with that mini-module as well as tools to reduce preparation and speed up gameplay.

It is designed to be a supplement to the Gamma World Referee's Screen and Mini-Module (TSR 6501 and 6502), so it will not be useful if you don't own the original—which is available to purchase at: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/246994/Gamma-World-Referees-Screen-and-MiniModule

(Some of the creature and item names have been changed to respect the creators’ intellectual property.)

For best results, print these pages and keep them on hand to track your players’ progress.

The boxed text is safe to read out loud as players enter the associated room. It won’t give away secrets, traps, surprises, etc.

The hit points for various targets are represented by small boxes listed below them. You can tick these boxes with a pencil to quickly track damage and determine when a target has been defeated.

Gamma World is a trademark of Wizards of the Coast LLC in the USA and other countries.
